Trainer Residence

1,800 square foot one story two-bedroom single family residence. Inspiration came from Japanese design motifs. Continuity of interior and exterior living areas was strongly desired and is achieved through extensive glazing both vertical and overhead with interlocking forms that allow one to feel underneath and surrounded by the oak tree canopy whether inside or outside. Materials include exposed wood structure, plaster, corrugated metal and concrete. Subsequent owners commissioned a multi-level terraced deck for entertaining guests.
